We recomend a large capacity cartirdge filter.  The least maintenance of all filters and the largest cleaning capacity.  Cost effective.  The most bang for the buck.   About $800-$1000 shipped and installed. 

Our pick is the nature 2 fusion.  A mineral based system designed to reduce the use and cost of chlorine.  Installed $650-$700.  Replacable cartridge once per season, around $60

We recomend a weekly small dose of granular shock.  This can also be addded in liquid form, but its not as powerful.   Brand and availabilty determines price but typically around 100$ for 25lbs or 150$ for 50lbs.  In the swim on amazon is cost effective and readily available
